@co40ems, through its EMS academy, is doing remarkable work preparing the next generation of emergency medical professionals. The need is real: since 2012, Pennsylvania has seen a loss of more than 6,000 EMTs and 4,000 paramedics.
But today brings good news and real momentum in solving this crisis. Carlisle EMS Academy has officially launched Rescue Ready, a workforce development program that I was proud to support with state funding.
Rescue Ready will strengthen emergency care in our community and help address the ongoing EMS staffing shortage for years to come. Through Rescue Ready, at least ten current providers will advance their training, and fifteen new community members will earn their EMT certification at NO COST.

Tonight, Rep. Perry Stambaugh and I were thrilled to announce that $2.137 million in state funding has been secured for the #PerryCounty Community fair grounds.
The grant funds will be used for the construction of a new building, which will include restrooms, a conference area and a commercial kitchen.
This project is not just a renovation, it’s a reinvestment in Perry County!
This announcement is the fruition of years of hard work and shared vision. Thank you to the Perry County Fairground Board of Directors, Perry County Commissioners and Perry County Economic Development Authority. The future of the fair is bright!
Happy 100th birthday, Jaime! It was an honor to join you today at your birthday party to celebrate a century of life well lived!
Jaime, affectionately called “Papi” by those who love him, had great advice for living a long life: “Be Happy!”
I couldn’t agree more.
I thoroughly enjoyed getting to meet with #EagleScout Abram Luffy of Troop 120 in Shippensburg this week at my Shippensburg district office.
Abram designed and constructed a wooden equipment cart for the unified bocce team and is an all-around impressive young man. I look forward to seeing his promising future unfold. Congratulations, Abram!
Please join me in congratulating Perry County 2026 Friend of the Fair, Bob Crozier, and 2026 Perry County Farmer of the Year, Richard Bratton!
It’s a great (and packed) night at the fair! I hope to see you there this week.
Great visit today at @volvoce in Shippensburg.
Their impressive facility is expanding to bring even more large-equipment production closer to customers – strengthening their North American footprint and growing a more local supplier base.
With over 700 #jobs already on site, this growth is a major win for #Shippensburg and the surrounding communities. Incredible to see this level of innovation happening right here in our community!
Congratulations to Perry County`s newest #EagleScouts, Mattingly Kline and Carson Sauders! 🎉
Honored to celebrate with them and their families. Thanks for inviting me, Troop 92!
A little rain didn`t stop us from having a great meal and good fellowship in Northern Dauphin County yesterday with the @pafarmbureau! Spending time with #FFA students is always a highlight. 🍗🌽 #thankafarmer
Great evening at Mt. Holly Springs’ National Night Out! I appreciated the chance to connect with the many community members who make this town so strong. Thank you to everyone who stopped by, and a special thanks to the dedicated volunteers for all their hard work!
Happy 200th birthday, Williamstown! Rep. Joe Kerwin and I had a great time kicking off the celebration. The event organizers did an incredible job pulling it all together!
It is an honor to represent a town built on hometown pride, hard work and genuine community. Thank you for inviting me!
Opening day of the @pafarmshow is underway! It was a great day participating in the opening ceremony, talking with constituents and attending @congressman_gt ‘s, public listening session on Agriculture.
There is so much to see, do and eat! I hope to see you and your family here this week as the fun continues.
Today, I joined a bi-partisan group of federal and state officials who are committed to keeping good-paying jobs, like those at Dura-Bond Industries, here in the Capitol region.
I want to thank U.S. Department of Energy’s Under Secretary of Energy, Alex Fitzsimmons for making the trip to Steelton this morning and the administration’s commitment to skilled American labor.
The steel industry and companies like Dura-Bond are critical to our national security, affordable energy, and the economic prosperity of our community.
