Rothman, Kutz Announce More than $2 Million in State Assistance for South Middleton, Mt. Holly Springs Water Projects

HARRISBURG – State Sen. Greg Rothman (R-34) and Rep. Thomas Kutz (R-87) today announced the approval of more than $2 million in state assistance for water system improvement projects in South Middleton Township and Mt. Holly Springs, Cumberland County.

The South Middleton Township Municipal Authority was awarded $1.75 million for a significant water tank construction project (Well No. 1). Mount Holly Springs Borough will receive $390,595 to help pay for water main rehabilitation.

“Safe, reliable drinking water infrastructure is critical for growing communities,” Rothman said. I’m very happy to announce these funds will ensure access to clean water is available to residents for years to come.”

“I was glad to work with Sen. Rothman to advocate for these grants to support Mount Holly Springs Borough and South Middleton Township,” said Kutz. “By upgrading the water distribution system in Mount Holly and constructing a water tank in South Middleton, we can ensure these communities have the safe, efficient access to the resources upon which they rely.”

The projects were approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, an independent agency of the Department of Community and Economic Development.
