HARRISBURG – State Sen. Greg Rothman (R-34) and Rep. Joe Kerwin (R-125) today announced the approval of state assistance for improvements to the wastewater treatment plant in Berrysburg Borough.
The Berrysburg Municipal Authority will receive $92,608 for needed upgrades to the pump stations and wastewater treatment plant in Berrysburg Borough.
“Proper wastewater treatment is an absolute necessity for public health, but it can be a challenge for small communities to burden the cost,” Rothman said. “I am pleased to announce this infrastructure funding which will benefit the residents of Berrysburg.”
“The announcement of this grant funding marks a great investment into the wellbeing of the 125th Legislative District,” shared Kerwin. “I am glad to have worked with Sen. Rothman to secure this funding for Berrysburg and the surrounding area.”
The project was approved by the Commonwealth Financing Authority, an independent agency of the Department of Community and Economic Development.
